We help pay for what insurance won't.
If your child is recovering from a brain injury and cost is standing between them and care your family has chosen, we may be able to help pay for it — including therapies and treatments insurance denies or won't cover. We pay the provider your family chose, directly. The application takes about five minutes and starts a conversation with a real person.
Eligibility, in plain language
- Your child is under 18and recovering from a traumatic brain injury.
- Your family lives in Florida— that's where we can serve well right now. As funding grows, we'll grow.
- The care is lawful, licensed, and your care team knows about it— any lawful therapy or treatment delivered in the United States by a licensed provider, that your child's treating clinicians have been told about. Insurance coverage doesn't matter. Non-covered, out-of-network, and insurance-denied care all qualify — that gap is exactly what we exist to close. We'll ask for a short letter from a treating clinician confirming your child's injury and that they're aware of the treatment. A few sentences is enough, and awareness is not the same as endorsement — we don't ask your doctor to sign off on your family's choice.
Sponsorships currently cover up to $500 per child. Awards are made as funding allows, in the order applications arrive. If we can't fund your family right away, we'll tell you honestly and keep you on the list.
Not sure whether cost is really the barrier yet? Our Resource Hub lists the insurance appeals, state programs, and grants worth trying first — most of them are free, and some cover far more than we can.
How it works
-
You apply
Five minutes, no documents needed yet. Just tell us where you are and what would help.
-
We talk
A real person replies within two business days to answer questions and confirm the details.
-
One short letter
A treating clinician emails us a few sentences confirming your child's injury and that they're aware of the treatment.
-
We pay the provider
Once approved, we pay your chosen provider directly for the sponsored care. No reimbursement chase, no cash changing hands.
You pick the provider and the treatment with your child's care team. We never recommend or require any specific provider, product, treatment, or company — that independence is written into our governance.
Good to know
- Insurance denial is not a disqualifierIt's often the reason families are here. We fund lawful care from licensed providers regardless of what insurance decided — that's the whole point.
- No medical records to applyThe only document we ever ask for is a short clinician letter, and only after we've talked — emailed straight to us, never uploaded to a website.
- Your story stays yoursApplying never means your child's story or photo appears anywhere. Story sharing is a separate, written, always-optional consent — and you can say no forever.
- Prefer to just email?Skip the form entirely: write to [email protected] in your own words.
- Not in Florida?Email us anyway — our Resource Hub covers national programs, and you'll be first to know when we expand.
If your child needs urgent medical help, please contact your care team or emergency services — we're a charity and can't respond to medical emergencies.
